Grading in Knoxville, TN

We cut high spots, fill agreed low areas and shape already-cleared ground for access and planned drainage. Grading moves soil rather than cutting vegetation. Fill, compaction and the final surface are defined before work begins.

Our Grading Process and Equipment

Our process starts with the planned elevations and where water needs to drain. We match a dozer, compact track loader with grading attachment or motor grader to the access and finish. We cut high spots, spread suitable material and compact specified fill, with deeper excavation handled separately when required.

Ground and Drainage Around Knoxville

Local ridges and valleys can have clay-rich soil, shallow rock, roots and previously placed fill. Conditions vary across the parcel. We check slopes, drainage and wetness before moving soil, and separate rough grading from engineered fill or foundation-pad preparation.

Land Clearing Questions,
Clear Answers.

What is the difference between bush hogging, mulching and clearing?

Bush hogging cuts grass, weeds and light stems up to about 1 inch. Mulching shreds suitable woody growth into on-site mulch. Clearing can include larger approved trees, roots and hauling. Equipment, access and your desired finish decide the method.

Is debris removal included?

Forestry mulch normally stays on the ground. For clearing and tree removal, the quote should specify hauling, stump work and the finish. Agree on what will remain before work starts.

How long will my project take?

Light mowing may take hours; dense brush, larger trees and haul-off can take several days. Slopes, access, ground conditions, weather and approvals affect timing. Confirm the schedule against your specific scope.
