Land Clearing in Knoxville, TN

We remove unwanted trees, brush and clearing debris from agreed homesite, barn and access-route footprints. Excavator and loader work handle larger growth; stump removal, root work and haul-off are included when specified in your quote. Grading is a separate service.

Best for larger trees, stump and root work, and a defined development footprint.

  • Permit-approved trees of all sizes, with equipment matched to the job.
  • Stump work, root removal and haul-off defined in your quote.
  • A cleared footprint for your next stage of property preparation.

Past Land Clearing Project

3-Acre Land Clearing

The owners wanted space for an additional barn on their lightly wooded 3-acre property. We removed the unwanted trees and underbrush, ground the specified stumps and hauled away the clearing debris. This opened the footprint for the next stage of property preparation.

Our Land Clearing Process and Equipment

Our process starts by marking the clearing area and trees you want to keep. We use tracked excavators with buckets and hydraulic thumbs to handle trunks, specified stumps and loading. We separate debris with root-rake or loader work, then complete the hauling and ground finish included in your quote.

Trees and Brush Around Knoxville

White and chestnut oaks, hickories and red maple are useful Valley and Ridge examples. Tulip poplar often grows on more protected sites, while Virginia pine suits exposed ground. We mark retained trees and define the root, stump and hauling work before clearing.

Land Clearing Questions,
Clear Answers.

What is the difference between bush hogging, mulching and clearing?

Bush hogging cuts grass, weeds and light stems up to about 1 inch. Mulching shreds suitable woody growth into on-site mulch. Clearing can include larger approved trees, roots and hauling. Equipment, access and your desired finish decide the method.

Is debris removal included?

Forestry mulch normally stays on the ground. For clearing and tree removal, the quote should specify hauling, stump work and the finish. Agree on what will remain before work starts.

How long will my project take?

Light mowing may take hours; dense brush, larger trees and haul-off can take several days. Slopes, access, ground conditions, weather and approvals affect timing. Confirm the schedule against your specific scope.
